The Global Disorder Group at the Department of International Politics, in collaboration with Index on Censorship and the Institute for Creativity and AI at City, is delighted to invite you to a panel discussion on Truth, Trust & Tricksters in the Age of AI.
The event will take place on Wednesday 1 October at 6:00 pm at City St George’s, University of London, to mark the launch of Index’s latest magazine issue with a thought-provoking panel discussion. This timely conversation will explore the pressing question: How do we navigate the mirror world of AI and distinguish truth tellers from tricksters?
Joining the panel will be Dr Eduardo Alonso, Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Director of CitAI at City St George’s, Kenneth Cukier, Deputy Executive Editor of The Economist, and Timandra Harkness, writer, broadcaster and presenter.

Global (Dis)Order is an interdisciplinary research group based at City St George’s, University of London. The group is dedicated to developing international research that deepens our understanding of global order and disorder. The Institute for Creativity and AI is City St George’s new hub for researching and exploring the strategic impacts of AI on creativity and creative work. It is intentionally interdisciplinary, bringing together academics and students across all City St George’s schools.
